The DH-1, (also known as Basic Handgun ) is a great place to start for students new to handgun shooting, students new to professional training with handguns, or even well trained individuals looking to refresh their core fundamentals.  This course will teach you the basic fundamentals and operation of the handgun. Many subjects such as sight alignment, trigger squeeze, trigger reset, stance, grip, breathing, sight picture and much more will be covered in this course. This one day course is the ultimate package for those that have very little or no handgun experience. In this one day course you will learn the basic fundamentals of the handgun.

The classroom instruction will cover the four  statutory required topics.

 Laws that relate to weapons 

 the use of deadly force 

Handgun use and safety, including use of restraint holsters and methods to ensure the secure carrying of openly carried handguns

 Non-violent dispute resolution

 Proper storage practices for handguns with an emphasis on storage practices that eliminate the possibility of accidental injury to a child.

• Pistol - .22 caliber and larger
• Minimum of 2 Magazines
• 50 rounds of proper ammunition
• Head Cover (Ball Cap)
• Holster 
• Magazine Carrier
• Hearing / Eye Protection
• Proper footing (shoes)
• No High Heels allowed
• Students are encouraged to bring lunch or snacks
• Drinks are provided

Other wise known as Advanced Handgun.  This one day course introduces and reinforces the fundamentals of tactical shooting and handgun  skills. The foundation is  understanding the  basics of marksmanship and weapons handling and or manipulation, but tactical shooting is much more dynamic than static  training and more opposition focused than competition shooting.  Speed, movement and accuracy are emphasized to create success. The principals and techniques of tactical shooting are developed through lecture, demonstration, and performance. This course explains and demonstrates the specific techniques to perform this very rapid, but accurate type of firearms presentation and shooting. The student will practice the fundamentals of tactical shooting. This program will build the skills required to successfully employ these techniques in a tactical or survival situation.
